God: "Tell the Truth"

By Neale Donald Walsch,
(author of Conversations with God)
Editor's note: The following entry was featured on NDW's blog on Tuesday 24 June 2008. That blog is no longer available. Luckily I saved a copy on my hard drive. So here it is in all it's glory.

Imagine this. God comes down to Earth for one minute - one blessed 60-second moment - and announces to the world the solution to all of its problems and the way for every soul to experience heaven-on-earth and eternal salvation. God reveals this solution and this way with one sentence. What do you suppose that sentence would be?

"Believe in Me"?

No.

"Believe in My Son"?

No.

"Love everyone"?

No.

"Stop the killing"?

No.

Okay then, what? Whaaat?

Here it is. Are you ready?

"Tell the truth."

That's it. That's all there is to it. Just tell the truth, and everything is solved. Not overnight. Not in the next instant. But fast. Very fast. Because very soon after everyone starts telling the truth, the cause of the problems goes away.

We live in a society based on secrecy. Think about it. Virtually every aspect of life as we have constructed it is based on secrecy. The cultural myth is that what we don't know makes everything work, not what we do know.

That's certainly true of our political myth. If governments around the world (our's included) ever told the people everything that government knows on every subject, governments would have to change. If governments ever gave people the real reasons behind everything governments do, what governments do would be altered forever.

Wars, for instance, would practically vanish from the human experience, because most human beings would never agree to go to war for the real reasons governments declare war. Governments know this, so governments give us trumped up reasons, reasons they hope most of the people will agree with.

Taxes would also virtually vanish, because most human beings would never agree to be taxed for the real reasons governments raise money. Governments know this, so governments give us trumped up reasons, reasons they hope most of the people will agree with.

Our economic myth, likewise, is based on secrets. Can you imagine what would happen if factory foremen and office supervisors handed out sheets of paper every month to all employees with all the company's salaries (including those of every executive) on them? Can you imagine what would happen to world prices if corporations were required to place on their price tags the actual cost, to them, of providing those goods and services? Do you think such a system of complete visibility would allow our economic system to survive in its present form? Of course not. Because once the truth is told, everything changes.

Even our theological systems fall into the same category. We are told that we do not have the answers, and cannot find the answers, to life's most challenging questions on our own. These are "mysteries," which only religion can solve. And each religion declares that it has the "right" answers, and everyone else has the "wrong" ones. Yet even religions don't tell us everything they "know." Much is kept hidden, away from the mass of the people who, it is said, cannot and would not possibly understand. Incantations are offered in ancient tongues that only the chief priests understand. Rituals are shrouded in secret. Admission to the temples of some religions is forbidden to the general public and, even within the religious family, open only to a select few.

But secrets aren't limited to our society's institutions. Our society itself is based on secrets. Families keep secrets tenanciously, and whole familial environments are often built on secrets. The family alcoholic, the father who abuses his wife and children, the aunt who suffers from kleptomania, the brother-in-law in jail -- all are kept secret, not just from the people outside the family, but very often from other family members themselves.

"What you don't know won't hurt you" is such a powerful myth that it has become more socially unacceptable to tell the truth than to hide it.

None of this would really matter very much, one supposes, were it not for the fact that wars have been started because of state secrets. Children have endured years of abuse because of family secrets. The rich have gotten richer, and the poor have gotten poorer because of economic secrets. And people have gone to their death cringing in fear of God because of religious and spiritual secrets.

Lives have been ruined because of secrets, and yet humans will not tell the truth, because the real slogan is, "What you don't know won't hurt me."

As long as we're afraid of being hurt by the truth, we're going to lie. And, while we don't like it, we'll tolerate an entire society built on lies.

Yet it is society's refusal to become truthful that causes most of the pain society is forced to endure, and the vicious circle is complete. We sidestep the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth in an effort to avoid pain - and we cause pain in the process.

There is a way out of this mess. Conversations with God - Book 2 calls for a new societal standard, captured in a word: Visibility.

I spoken about this before, in lectures across this country, in articles and interviews around the world, and in this very column. I'll keep preaching the virtues of visibility as long as I live, because I know now that it is the only way to live.

Conversations with God - Book 2 says that there are five levels of truth-telling.

First, you tell the truth to yourself about yourself. Then you tell the truth to yourself about another. At the third level, you tell the truth about yourself to another. Then you tell the truth about another to that other. And finally, you learn to tell the truth to everyone about everything.

The first level of truth-telling was the hardest for me. There was a part of me which did not want to hear the truth about myself - least of all from myself. I knew that if I admitted to myself what many others had been telling me most of my life, I would no longer have anywhere to run.

As long as I could avoid admitting to myself that the criticisms and observations of others about me were simply not true, I could go on. Yet how could I continue if I once acknowledged within my own heart and mind that I was behaving exactly as others said I was behaving, doing exactly what others said I was doing, and very much the person that others told me I was?

Who cares if I was wearing the Emperor's New Clothes? I much preferred parading around in my illusions of how I presented myself to the world to any inner acknowledgment that the most often loving and well-meaning observations of others might be right on the money.

So yes, level one was the most difficult for me. Yet once I mastered it my whole life changed. I found that most of the pain of my life had been caused by holding on to my illusions, not by letting them go. When my false image of myself began to drop away, I could start directing all the energy I had been using to hold it together toward other, much more useful, pursuits.

Level four was the next biggest challenge. The real work was not in finding the courage the speak my truth about others to those others, but in creating a way to do that sensitively, with love and understanding, gentleness and compassion. I had to learn to speak my truth, yes, but to speak it softly.

This continues to be a challenge for me, especially when I am being critical of society in general, or "those others" as a group. My words far too often come out harsh and cold, justified and righteous. Oh, my, can I become dangerous if I believe I have "right" on my side - whatever that is. But I'm working on it. I'm seeking to develop the skill of telling my truth without clobbering my listeners. I want them to be able to hear me.

So how about you? Do you want to help change the world? You can start by deciding to tell the truth always, to everyone, in every moment and about every matter.
If you run a business, tell your employees exactly what everyone else is making.

Tell your customers exactly what your products or sevices cost you to provide. If you're in a relationship, tell your significant other everything you think they need to know in order for them to be holding five cards, too. If you're in government, tell your constituents the real reasons behind all of your agency's decisions. If you're in education, teach your students all there is to know, in an age-appropriate way, on the subjects you're exploring. If you're a rabbi or a minister, priest or monk, tell the whole truth about God, open up your rituals, throw wide the doors of your temples. Let the sun shine in.

Dare you, dare you, double dare you...

NDW on Christ, forgetting and remembering Who We Are

Friday 18 December 2009
By Neale Donald Walsch
author of Conversations with God

My dear friends...

This is our last Weekly Bulletin before Christmas Day. So I'd like to look at a question this week that people all over the world, people of all faiths and traditions, have been asking for a very long time. For over 2,000 years, in fact...

Who was this man called Jesus?

Yesterday I was listening to a Christmas Carol sung by Bing Crosby and I found myself turning to my wife and saying, "Imagine the kind of person you must have been to have people still singing about you a couple of millennia later."

"Yes," she agreed. "Pretty special."

We all know, of course, that Jesus was the Son of God; that he was Divinity made into Humanity. Yet so, too, are we all. Every human being is Divine; we are all the Daughters and Sons of God. We are all God's Offspring; God's Issue. We have all proceeded from The Most High, we are all made up of the Same Stuff, and we are all Singularizations of The Singularity.

What, then, made Jesus so incredibly different that he stands out among human beings, all of whom are Individuations of the Divine? Could it be that he knew Who He Was?

Yes, I believe that's it, and more. He not only knew Who He Was, he acted like it. He embraced it. He reflected it. He demonstrated it. He, quite literally, embodied it.

Jesus Christ brought into his body, mind, and soul the Divinity that is the natural inheritance of all of us. It wasn't this way with him all the days of his life. We know, for instance, that he spent 40 days and 40 nights in the desert, searching, looking, delving deeply into his inner yearning, his inner knowing. Some say it was much longer than 40 days. We have heard of "the lost years of Christ." We have heard that he spent much time with the Essenses, an esoteric sect seeking the experience of a Higher Way of Being.

Whatever is true about his journey, it is clear that Jesus challenged himself to step into another version of Who He Was and Who He Intended to Be. He dared to explore the outer limits of what it means to be Human and what it means to be Divine --- at the same time. He dared to examine what was "real" and what was not about his day-to-day experience; he dared to drop his "story" --- all the stuff he was "making up" in his head --- about himself and about others, about why things happen and how things happen and whether things should have happened.

Jesus dared to drop his Story and to adopt his True Identity.

Why did Jesus do this? Well, I hypothesize that, like all of us, Jesus felt a natural impulse toward the Divine. Like all of us, Jesus experienced, at the heart of his being, an unexplained sense of Oneness, of Unity, with all things; an undefined but very real inner Awareness that he was more --- much more --- than he was allowing himself to be...and that there was more to life than he was experiencing --- having nothing to do with what was going on outside, and everything to do with what was going on inside, of his Being.

The result of all this is that Jesus saw the events and occurrences of his life as servinghim, rather than viewing himself as serving life. He saw every thought, word, and deed as an act of Self-Definition. He used life as an opportunity to experience himself in a particular way. He chose how he wanted to experience himself in every moment, ahead of time. Then he stepped into the moments of his life, seeing them all as perfectly coordinated outer opportunities to embrace the inner opportunity that awaited him.

Yet the true miracle of Jesus, in the end, had as much, if not more, to do with his outer world than with his inner world. For when Jesus came from his deep inner sense of Self Within, he placed into his outer world such a demonstration of that, that the world never forgot what it saw.

In short, Jesus modeled for us what it means to Be Who We Really Are.

Now, let's look at how he did so. He began by loving without condition. First, himself. Then, everyone...and everything...else. He saw it all as Perfect. And therefore he saw that nothing needed forgiving, and everything merely yearned to be blessed. Blessing, Jesus came to understand, meant covering everyone and everything with the Energy of Pure Essence --- and, by overlaying it, submerging it, in this Energy (which, by the way, he understood emanated from him), transforming everything he encountered, and all those whose lives he touched.

In this way, Jesus gave people back to themselves. Others, in his presence, had the experience of awakening from a deep sleep; even of being roused from the dead.

Which brings me to "us." I experience that many, many human beings are among the Walking Dead. They are dead to Who They Are, dead to what Life is truly about, dead to the miracle that IS Life Itself.

They are "dead to the world," having no idea who they are, where they are, why theyare where they are, or what they intend to do about any of that. They are sleep-walking, imagining that life is happening TO them, not THROUGH them.

Many, many human beings do not experience life as a series of decisions, but as a series of dilemmas; not as a series of choices, but as a series of chances. You take your chances, you don't make your choices.

Yet I experience that all of the dilemmas I face today are the result of all of the choices I made yesterday. The question is not whether I made those choices, but whether I made them consciously or unconsciously.

But how can I make my choices consciously if I have no idea who I am, where I am, why I am where I am, and what I am doing here? I can't. Therefore, I need someone to remind me.

That's where you come in. And that's where Jesus came in.

Jesus said to everyone, "The Kingdom of Heaven is within you." He said, "I and the Father are one, and ye are brothers." He said, "Why are you so amazed? These things, and more, shall you do also." He remembered his own Divinity --- and he spent his life seeking to help us remember ours.

And that is why we remember him to this day with songs of celebration and words of praise. We remember him because he remembered us. He loved us as if we were Divine --- precisely because we are.

He forgave quickly and easily, because he knew that there was really nothing TO forgive, save our forgetfulness. And he was aware that once WE became aware of how wonderful we all truly are, we would see how wonderful everyone else is, and on that day we would resolve never to do anything unforgiveable again.

So let us celebrate today, in word and song, the life of this extraordinary being named Jesus. And --- as he, himself, would have us do --- let us celebrate, as well, the Christ that dwells within us. The part of us that is Buddha, understanding and thus ending suffering. The part of us that us Moses, leading those we love out of the wilderness. The part of us that is Muhammad, the prophet who shares great wisdom about life and how to live it fruitfully and with blessings.

Let us celebrate the part of us that is Krishna, the part of us that is Baha'u'llah, the part of us that is and remains Forever One with all the saints and sages of all religions and of every belief. Let us, this day, be Jewish and Janist, Buddhist and Brahmin, Muslim and Mormon, Confucian and Christian. Let us, today, be all of it. For that is what it means to be HUMAN.

And when we are fully human, we will become fully Divine...and THEN, at last, we will create peace of earth, and goodwill to all, everywhere.

Merry Christmas, everyone. And blessèd be.

Love and Hugs,

Neale.

"The Little Soul And The Sun"

by Neale Donald Walsch, Conversations With God

Once upon no time, there was a little Soul who said to God, "I know who I am."

And God said, "That's wonderful! Who are you?"

And the Little Soul shouted, "I'm the Light!"

God smiled a big smile. "That's right!" God exclaimed. "You are the Light."

The Little Soul was so happy, for it had figured out what all the souls in the Kingdom were there to figure out.

"Wow," said the Little Soul, "this is really cool!"

But soon, knowing who it was was not enough. The Little Soul felt stirrings inside, and now wanted to be who it was. And so the Little Soul went back to God (which is not a bad idea for all souls who want to be Who They Really Are) and said,

"Hi, God! Now that I know Who I am, is it okay for me to be it?"

And God said, "You mean you want to be Who You Already Are?"

"Well," replied the Little Soul," it's one thing to know Who I Am, and another thing altogether to actually be it. I want to feel what it's like to be the Light!"

"But you already are the Light," God repeated, smiling again.

"Yes, but I want to see what that feels like!" cried the Little Soul.

"Well," said God with a chuckle, "I suppose I should have known. You always were the adventuresome one."

Then God's expression changed. "There's only one thing..."

"What?" asked the Little Soul.

"Well, there is nothing else but the Light. You see, I created nothing but what you are; and so, there is no easy way for you to experience yourself as Who You Are, since there is nothing that you are not."

"Huh?" said the Little Soul, who was now a little confused.

"Think of it this way," said God. "You are like a candle in the Sun. Oh, you're there all right. Along with a million, gazillion other candles who make up the Sun. And the sun would not be the Sun without you. Nay, it would be a sun without one of its candles...and that would not be the Sun at all; for it would not shine as brightly. Yet, how to know yourself as the Light when you are amidst the Light -that is the question."

"Well," the Little Soul perked up, "you're God. Think of something!"

Once more God smiled. "I already have," God said. "Since you cannot see yourself as the Light when you are in the Light, we'll surround you with darkness."

"What's darkness?" the Little Soul asked.

God replied, "It is that which you are not."

"Will I be afraid of the dark?" cried the Little Soul.

"Only if you choose to be," God answered. "There is nothing, really, to be afraid of, unless you decide that there is. You see, we are making it all up. We are pretending."

"Oh," said the Little Soul, and felt better already.

Then God explained that, in order to experience anything at all, the exact opposite of it will appear. "It is a great gift," God said, "because without it, you could not know what anything is like. You could not know Warm without Cold, Up without Down, Fast without Slow. You could not know Left without Right, Here without There, Now without Then."

"And so," God concluded, "when you are surrounded with darkness, do not shake your fist and raise your voice and curse the darkness. Rather be a Light unto the darkness, and don't be mad about it. Then you will know Who You Really Are, and all others will know, too. Let your Light shine so that everyone will know how special you are!"

"You mean it's okay to let others see how special I am?" asked the Little Soul.

"Of course!" God chuckled. "It's very okay! But remember,'special' does not mean 'better.' Everybody is special, each in their own way! Yet many others have forgotten that. They will see that it is okay for them to be special only when you see that it is okay for you to be special."

"Wow," said the Little Soul, dancing and skipping and laughing and jumping with joy. "I can be as special as I want to be!"

"Yes, and you can start right now," said God, who was dancing and skipping and laughing right along with the Little Soul.

"What part of special do you want to be?"

"What part of special?" the Little Soul repeated. "I don't understand."

"Well," God explained, "being the Light is being special, and being special has a lot of parts to it. It is special to be kind. It is special to be gentle. It is special to be creative. It is special to be patient. Can you think of any other ways it is special to be?"

The Little Soul sat quietly for a moment. "I can think of lots of ways to be special!" the Little Soul then exclaimed. "It is special to be helpful. It is special to be sharing. It is special to be friendly. It is special to be considerate of others!"

"Yes!" God agreed, "and you can be all of those things, or any part of special you wish to be, at any moment. That's what it means to be the Light."

"I know what I want to be, I know what I want to be!" the Little Soul announced with great excitement. "I want to be the part of special called 'forgiving'. Isn't it special to be forgiving?"

"Oh, yes," God assured the Little Soul. "That is very special."

"Okay," said the Little Soul. "That's what I want to be. I want to be forgiving. I want to experience myself as that."

"Good," said God, "but there's one thing you should know."

The Little Soul was becoming a bit impatient now. It always seemed as though there were some complication.

"What is it?" the Little Soul sighed.

"There is no one to forgive."

"No one?" The Little Soul could hardly believe what had been said.

"No one!" God repeated. "Everything I have made is perfect. There is not a single soul in all creation less perfect than you. Look around you."

It was then that the Little Soul realized a large crowd had gathered. Souls had come from far and wide ~ from all over the Kingdom ~ for the word had gone forth that the Little Soul was having this extraordinary conversation with God, and everyone wanted to hear what they were saying. Looking at the countless other souls gathered there, the Little Soul had to agree. None appeared less wonderful, less magnificent, or less perfect than the Little Soul itself. Such was the wonder of the souls gathered around, and so bright was their Light, that the Little Soul could scarcely gaze upon them.

"Who, then, to forgive?" asked God.

"Boy, this is going to be no fun at all!" grumbled the Little Soul. "I wanted to experience myself as One Who Forgives. I wanted to know what that part of special felt like."

And the Little Soul learned what it must feel like to be sad. But just then a Friendly Soul stepped forward from the crowd.

"Not to worry, Little Soul," the Friendly Soul said, "I will help you."

"You will?" the Little Soul brightened. "But what can you do?"

"Why, I can give you someone to forgive!"

"You can?"

"Certainly!" chirped the Friendly Soul. "I can come into your next lifetime and do something for you to forgive."

"But why? Why would you do that?" the Little Soul asked. "You, who are a Being of such utter perfection! You, who vibrate with such a speed that it creates a Light so bright that I can hardly gaze upon you! What could cause you to want to slow down your vibration to such a speed that your bright Light would become dark and dense? What could cause you ~ who are so light that you dance upon the stars and move through the Kingdom with the speed of your thought--to come into my life and make yourself so heavy that you could do this bad thing?"

"Simple," the Friendly Soul said. "I would do it because I love you."

The Little Soul seemed surprised at the answer.

"Don't be so amazed," said the Friendly Soul, "you have done the same thing for me. Don't you remember? Oh, we have danced together, you and I, many times. Through the eons and across all the ages have we danced. Across all time and in many places have we played together. You just don't remember."

"We have both been All Of It. We have been the Up and the Down of it, the Left and the Right of it. We have been the Here and the There of it, the Now and the Then of it. We have been the male and the female, the good and the bad; we have both been the victim and the villain of it."

"Thus have we come together, you and I, many times before; each bringing to the other the exact and perfect opportunity to Express and to Experience Who We Really Are. And so," the Friendly Soul explained further, "I will come into your next lifetime and be the 'bad one' this time. I will do something really terrible, and then you can experience yourself as the One Who Forgives.

"But what will you do?" the Little Soul asked, just a little nervously, "that will be so terrible?"

"Oh," replied the Friendly Soul with a twinkle, "we'll think of something."

Then the Friendly Soul seemed to turn serious, and said in a quiet voice, "You are right about one thing, you know."

"What is that?" the Little Soul wanted to know.

"I will have to slow down my vibration and become very heavy to do this not-so-nice thing. I will have to pretend to be something very unlike myself. And so, I have but one favour to ask of you in return."

"Oh, anything, anything!" cried the Little Soul, and began to dance and sing, "I get to be forgiving, I get to be forgiving!"

Then the Little Soul saw that the Friendly Soul was remaining very quiet.

"What is it?" the Little Soul asked. "What can I do for you? You are such an angel to be willing to do this for me!"

"Of course this Friendly Soul is an angel!" God interrupted. "Everyone is! Always remember: I have sent you nothing but angels."

And so the Little Soul wanted more than ever to grant the Friendly Soul's request. "What can I do for you?" the Little Soul asked again.

"In the moment that I strike you and smite you," the Friendly Soul replied, "in the moment that I do the worst to you that you could possible imagine ~ in that very moment..."

"Yes?" the Little Soul interrupted, "yes...?""Remember Who I Really Am."

"Oh, I will!" cried the Little Soul, "I promise! I will always remember you as I see you right here, right now!"

"Good," said the Friendly Soul, "because, you see, I will have been pretending so hard, I will have forgotten myself. And if you do not remember me as I really am, I may not be able to remember for a very long time. And if I forget Who I Am, you may even forget Who You Are, and we will both be lost. Then we will need another soul to come along and remind us both of Who We Are."

"No, we won't!" the Little Soul promised again. "I will remember you! And I will thank you for bringing me this gift ~ the chance to experience myself as Who I Am.

" And so, the agreement was made. And the Little Soul went forth into a new lifetime, excited to be the Light, which was very special, and excited to be that part of special called Forgiveness.

And the Little Soul waited anxiously to be able to experience itself as Forgiveness, and to thank whatever other soul made it possible. And at all the moments in that new lifetime, whenever a new soul appeared on the scene, whether that new soul brought joy or sadness--and especially if it brought sadness--the Little Soul thought of what God had said.

"Always remember," God had smiled, "I have sent you nothing but angels."

Note To Self: Linux CLI Commands

On Digg today, there's an article with 743 diggs that reads: Explained: 9 useful Linux commands everyone should use! Of all the commands mentioned, this is the only command that I didn't know:
$ free

At the end of that Digged article, there were links to the Ubuntu Community Documentation for the Terminal, which introduces new users to the command line, and a Unix commandline cheat sheet.

The following commands are new to me and will serve me well in the future:

ctrl+a or Home

Moves the cursor to the start of a line.

ctrl+e or End

Moves the cursor to the end of a line.

ctrl+b

Moves to the beginning of the previous or current word.

ctrl+k

Deletes from the current cursor position to the end of the line.

ctrl+u

Deletes the whole of the current line.

ctrl+w

Deletes the word before the cursor.

This one is worth a million dollars:

ctrl+r

Searches for commands you've already typed. When you have entered a very long, complex command and need to repeat it, using this key combination and then typing a portion of the command will search through your command history. When you find it, simply press Enter.

There are so many times when I scroll up looking of a command I used days ago that I used, but can't recall the full syntax. ctrl + r should remdy this problem. Here is another guide to Bash which clarifies how to use the CTRL + R feature:

1. Easily recall previous commands
Bash keeps track of the commands you execute in a history buffer, and allows you to recall previous commands by cycling through them with the Up and Down cursor keys. For even faster recall, "speed search" previously-executed commands by typing the first few letters of the command followed by the key combination Ctrl-R; bash will then scan the command history for matching commands and display them on the console. Type Ctrl-R repeatedly to cycle through the entire list of matching commands.

McCain-RP election victory, world order, China and the Middle East

If, let's say, the McCain campaign managers buy Ron Paul's recent argument (that Washington policy makers have been behaving like drug addicts since 9/11) and McCain's campaign managers pick RP as McCain's running mate on Sept. 2, promising to abolish the IRS laced with revolutionary Founding Father rhetoric, McCain-Paul would definitely win the 08 election. And let's say that over the course of 4 years in office McCain does everything Ron Paul says in his revolutionary book, then there would be a very different world order. Ron Paul opposes all supranational government bodies, like the UN so McCain would evict the UN from their NY HQ.

This probably won't happen because the Republicans prolly won't pick RP to be McCain's running mate. I'm not making predictions here. I'm just speaking hypothetically. This is an outlandish possible scenario. I'm just theorizing...for kicks.

So with a true gold standard (with the Fed abolished) the prices of goods and services (including oil) traded internationally would stay the same for Americans. Inflation would effectively be abolished. Actually, that's a half truth. Oil would no longer increase in price, as long as OPEC doesn't overcharge. And goods like electronics like computers manufactured in Chinnese factories would stay the same, as long as China doesn't start setting unfair prices, they could, after all, because they have a monopoly in this industry, if you add together all the electronics manufacturers.

Additionally, w/o an American hegemonic order on the planet, there would be a political vacuum and political crisis in Iraq with US troops arriving home before the end of 2009. All military and financial aid to Israel would cease. All 700 military bases strategically placed around the globe would be disbanded. If this were the case, with total international anarchy, then China could do what ever it pleases, perhaps establishing its own order over the planet, an anti-humanist order at that. Let's say China invades the entire middle east starting in 2012, after McCain and RP do everything RP promises. China at this point would have a monopoly over oil resources, exploiting the political crises of the US withdrawal from Iraq. If this were the case (this is a pretty flippin outrageous scenario) ALL Middle Eastern Arabs and Muslims would be united against their new imperial oppressors, a spectacular challenge for the religion of Islam. The West's War on Terror problem would be solved because America would no longer be the target of Islamic fundamentalists. Cool, eh?

I'm probably overlooking all sorts of logical possibilities resulting from an unlikely revolutionary McCain-Ron Paul election victory. What do you think could happen after US hegemony?

Now let's say some of Alex Jones' conspiracy theories are true, (not the 9/11 inside job ones, the other ones about the NWO that are argued for in Jones' (2007) "End Game") and the CFR, the Bilderbergh Group and Trilateral Commission members are indeed planning an Asian Union (AU) and North American Union (NAU) cooperating with the Chinese business class in secret, outside the public eye. What follows from this? The world's Power Elite could pull off a NAU and AU, if there were a need for it, like an inflationary crisis which provoked the ignorant public to demand a solution, trusting their governments and expert economists. If this were the case (I could be wrong, but let's pretend I am right), the Power Elite's behaviour would be tyrannical, similar to the behavior of Hitler who exploited an economic crisis to gain support from the insecure Middle Class in Wiemar Germany. Mugabe in Zimbabwe has drawn the world's attention to his tyranny based on (in part) hyper inflation. Informed Ron Paul revolutionaries (a passionate bunch) are well aware of how tyranny works. Ron Paul essentially argued this point in the senate in mid of June of this year. RP argues that governments are known for exploiting economic crises to gain more power, a humble and useful lesson. InfoWars is Alex Jones' really intense blog, so popular among young people that it gets more comments below each story than DailyKOS stories get. "We Are Change" is Jones' legion of dangerous revolutionary activists. I am not one of these activists, but I read InfoWars every day because I am fascinated by the anarchy and freedom of the internet. Without internet censorship, conspiracy theories flourish. I suppose if these conspiracy theorists get out of hand who, by getting violent in the streets, become a danger to the peaceful domestic order provided by the state in America, then maybe the state will have to intervene and start censoring the internet.
